Mousehole

composite_image_05The The traditional Cornish fishing village of Mousehole is a year-round destination. Set out along the South West coast path through Lamorna and beyond towards Land’s End in any season, or come here in summer for the sailing, fishing, water sports and beach life. At Christmas come and see the famous Mousehole lights and tuck into a slice of Star Gazey pie (ask any local to tell you the legend of Tom Bawcock).

With a village shop, a weekly visit from the fish van and butcher, and fresh vegetable stalls in the streets, you don’t have to go far for basic groceries. Browse local art and crafts in Essex Tyler’s Gallery and Sandpiper Gallery tucked away in the harbour-side lanes.

And dine in a fine selection of eateries including 2, Fore Street, the award-winning Old Coastguard Hotel  or have tea at the Rockpool Cafe.

With St Ives, Lands End and everything in between just 30 minutes’ drive away, there’s a plethora of things to see and do on the doorstep.
